Treatments

What we treat

Each page explains what the treatment involves, roughly how long it takes, what recovery is like, and what the alternatives are. Costs depend on the individual case and are confirmed at your consultation.

Dental emergencies

Same-day care for severe toothache, knocked-out or broken teeth, facial swelling and bleeding after an extraction.

Typical appointment: As required

Preventive dental care

Regular examinations, early detection and practical advice — the care that keeps small problems from becoming expensive ones.

Typical appointment: 30–45 minutes

Scaling and polishing

Professional cleaning that removes the hardened plaque brushing cannot shift, followed by polishing — the routine treatment that keeps gums healthy.

Typical appointment: 30–45 minutes

Digital radiography

Digital dental X-rays that show what an examination alone cannot — with a lower radiation dose than film and images on screen immediately.

Typical appointment: A few minutes

Tooth-coloured fillings

Composite fillings that restore a decayed or chipped tooth and match its natural shade, so the repair is not visible.

Typical appointment: 30–60 minutes

Root canal treatment

Treatment that saves a badly decayed or infected tooth by cleaning and sealing the canal inside it, so the tooth can stay in place.

Typical appointment: 60–90 minutes, sometimes across two visits

Dental crowns

A custom-made cap that covers and protects a weakened, cracked or heavily filled tooth, restoring its shape and strength.

Typical appointment: Two visits, usually 1–2 weeks apart

Dental bridges

A fixed replacement for a missing tooth, anchored to the teeth on either side of the gap.

Typical appointment: Two visits, usually 1–2 weeks apart

Tooth extraction

Removal of a tooth that cannot be saved, or that is causing crowding or repeated infection, including wisdom teeth.

Typical appointment: 20–45 minutes

Dental implants

A titanium post placed in the jawbone to support a replacement tooth, used where a tooth has been lost or extracted.

Typical appointment: Staged over several months

Dentures

Removable replacements for missing teeth — a full set, or a partial denture filling several gaps.

Typical appointment: Several visits over a few weeks

Braces and aligners

Orthodontic treatment to correct crowding, gaps and bite problems, using fixed braces or removable clear aligners.

Typical appointment: Typically 12–24 months

Veneers

Thin custom-made shells bonded to the front of teeth to change their shape, colour or alignment.

Typical appointment: Two visits

Teeth whitening

Professional bleaching to lighten the natural shade of teeth, carried out after an examination to confirm it is suitable.

Typical appointment: 60–90 minutes in clinic, or two weeks at home

Smile makeover

A planned combination of treatments — whitening, veneers, crowns, bonding or alignment — worked out together rather than one at a time.

Typical appointment: Varies with the plan; typically several weeks to several months
